But first! I want to give a shout out to my sister, Jenny, who just dropped a new single today. She's been working on this for a long time with Ryan Smith (Soul Asylum Guitarist). It's a synth-pop song called “Otherworldly Elements”. Congratulations, Jenny!
The Marisa Balistreri Quartet will be making our debut at Festa Italia this year on May 30th from 3:00- 4:30 PM at McKee Farms Park in Fitchburg. Steve Lewis and Brian Howard will once again be joining us for that event. You've got until then to learn some basic Italian because I'm going full Italiana for it! The four of us will also be playing at Bierock on Saturday, May 16th from 8-10 PM and Stefan and I are back at Madison Health and Rehabilitation Center on May 12th.
Out next single “Hear Me” drops May 30th! And we are finally releasing our CD New Monsters in full on July 14th with a CD release party at North Street Cabaret from 7-10 PM. Jeff Weiss, bass, and Noah Brooks, drums, will be joining us for that event as they played on the CD and did a phenomenal job. Just a reminder that New Monsters is still available at Frugal Muse Books for $10! Just ask at the register. Hopefully at some point I'll get an online store going. I should have time to do that in June. And just because you are such awesome people, here's a preview of “Hear Me”. Thank you for continuing to support us!
Thank you so much for your support! We can't do any of this without YOU.
Mission Statement: We play jazz with world music influences that makes people feel hopeful for humanity
