Welcome to summer!
The Marisa Balistreri Quartet had a blast making our debut at Festa Italia on Saturday! Thank you so much to the Italian Workmen's Club and John Masino for making it possible. We are very grateful!
Our new single “Hear Me” is out now! “Hear Me” is a feel good jazz groove with neo-soul and lo-fi influences written by Stefan (Hall, my husband for the newbies!). With its socially conscious lyrics, “Hear Me” is a plea for love and tolerance in an increasingly divided world and a celebration of diversity. Stefan wrote the song in the tradition of Joe Zawinul’s “Mercy, Mercy, Mercy” with a laid back vibe and warm nostalgic tones. As usual, I didn't have the time to promote it properly (and a delivery error on the part of CDBaby didn't help) but I have some time this month to work on it. Here's the Spotify link.
And we are finally releasing our CD New Monsters in full on July 14th with a CD release party at North Street Cabaret from 7-10 PM. Jeff Weiss, bass, and Noah Brooks, drums, will be joining us for that event as they played on the CD and did a phenomenal job. Just a reminder that New Monsters is still available at Frugal Muse Books for $10! Just ask at the register. Hopefully at some point I'll get an online store going. I should have time to do that now…or later.

My folks and me at Festa Italia
Thank you so much for your support! We can't do any of this without YOU.
