Happy Canada Day!

I love Canada. I received my ARCT Diploma in Voice from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto in 1998 and have since spent a lot of time in Vancouver and the Maritimes. I miss it.

But I digress! Our debut album New Monsters drops July 14th with a CD release party at North Street Cabaret from 7-10 PM!  Cover charge is $10. Jeff Weiss, bass, and Noah Brooks, drums, will be joining us. Here's a Spotify pre-save link for the album. Every pre-save helps boost our Spotify algorithm. Just a reminder that New Monsters is still available at Frugal Muse Books for $10! No online store yet. I've been very bust promoting our album.

Stefan and I will be back on Rökker Smith and Jimmy K's show “Live in the Lair” on Max Ink Radio 92.7 July 11th at 8 PM. Rökker is just the best. He's done a lot to promote local musicians and we are grateful. We also received some air time from some longtime radio hosts! “Messaggio” has been played twice on wART Radio in Marshall/ Asheville, NC by Charles Rice, Louis Brunet at FLO FM in Rimouski, Quebec gave “Hear Me” a spin, and Radio Soho in Tampere, Finland played “Moulin Rouge”.

I also want to give a shout out to James Devor, who played bass on the track “Spring”. James is an accomplished composer and his micro opera, Fairies Found and Lost, was selected as a finalist for The American Prize Thomas Putsché Award in Composition. We're currently working on a song cycle with James based on my mother's poetry. Hopefully we'll get to see it come to fruition.

We have a few gigs coming up in the next few months, too. We'll be back at Harmony Bar - this time with the whole quartet - on August 16 the from 7-9 PM, no charge. Steve Lewis and Noah will be joining us. And we'll make our debut at Old Firehouse Lounge as a trio with Steve on bass on Sept 4th from 6-8 PM.

Thank you so much for your support! We can't do any of this without YOU.

Mission Statement: We play jazz with world music influences that makes people feel hopeful for humanity
