Welcome to October, my favorite month. I LOVE Halloween!
A heartfelt thanks to everyone who came out to hear the Marisa Balistreri Trio debut at Old Firehouse Lounge in Stoughton this past month. That was a really fun gig. Stoughton is happenin'!
We are so pleased that live music is returning to the Far West Side of Madison. Skip's After-Market, which is located in the space previously occupied by The Cider Farm next to Brennan's, is now open. My Trio, featuring Stefan Hall, guitar, and Steve Lewis, bass, will be playing there from 5-7 PM on both Friday, October 30th and Friday November 13th. It's not lost on us that those are fun dates and we've added some new Halloween-themed jazz standards to our repertoire that we can't wait to debut. Did I mention I love scary movies?
I was pleasantly surprised to be featured for a second time on Bruno Pollacci's podcast AnimaJazz and Punto Radio Cascina near Pisa, Italy. This time he featured our song “I Want to Believe” which is our fan fiction tribute to may all-time favorite tv show, The X-Files. I haven't released this track, but it's one of my favorites from our album, New Monsters, and one that I will be releasing soon as it's been getting a little bit of traction. You can listen to the podcast here. There are some very interesting groups on the program!
No, I still haven't updated our website but I swear it's on my (very long) list of things to do!
Just a reminder that our album New Monsters is still available at Frugal Muse Books for $10!

Goofing off with John Masino and pals at the Harmony Bar, Sept 30th
Thank you so much for your support! We can't do any of this without YOU.
